LH Callaway B B Fusion Irons Graphite Senior Flex

my chicago May 22nd, 2008

I bought these clubs used, but they were in excellent condition. Getting a bit older I wanted to try not only the Fusion irons, but irons with graphite shafts, and senior flex shafts. I like them very much. They set up to the ball nicely and look great. You can really feel the head during the swing. In fact the head feels a bit heavy and the shafts very light, which is what you would expect with graphite/senior shafts. They hit the ball pretty high which is what I was seeking. They are very forgiving clubs, so much so, that sometimes you do not realize you hit it off-center until you look at the impact mark on the clubface. I have played many different types of clubs and I would highly recommend this club and senior shafts to anyone who is beginning to need a little help with distance and height on your shots. The graphite seems to cushion the shock a bit, too. Less aches and pains for us pre-seniors (ha ha).

I Purchased my FIRST set of x-16’s about two years ago

During that time I was a 90’s shooter on a good day. These irons along with some practice really helped me grow my game and I finally broke the coveted 80 mark. Then 80 became my standard I was trying to break evertime out and I had at least 10 more rounds under 80 when I decided my game had outgrown these irons “yeah right”.I Decided to buy more of a players club. BAD move, my game literally fell apart over night. I sold my 800.00 set of new irons on ebay and went back to the x-16’s and although I’m not breaking 80 again I’m definitly hitting the ball better and will be playing these irons for a long long time. People say oh it’s hard to work the ball or hit finese shots chip and pitch with thick top line game improvment irons. I say BULL. My strenght is my short game. X-16’s are awesome.

I have tried several other 460cc drivers and they all are ok if swung properly

This club is pleasing to the eye and performs consistently. I have used the Cleveland 400 9.5degree for 2-3 years before buying this club. I loved the Fujikura (regular flex) shaft that was the standard shaft for the 400. The shaft in the 460 9.5 degree seems to have the same characteristics although it is different in color. In my opinion, the shaft is the most important option in selecting a club.

the 460 Adam’s Redline RPM Titanium and the 410 & 460 Nike Ignite drivers

Industrial, my chicago May 20th, 2008

There’s only 2 things wrong with this driver. One, Cleveland quit making it. Two, Cleveland remains a ’sleeper’ company because they don’t pay the big bucks to guys like Tiger, Phil and Ernie to promote their equipment. But, when it comes to playing a first class driver that will perform as well as ANY that are out there (and better than 99% of them), it’s simply amazing that it’s possible to buy a club that performs this well for so little money. I realize that shaft’s make most of the difference in any club. I also realize that virtually ALL of the drivers built in the last 2-3 years manage to ‘crowd’ the USGA limits for ‘hotness’. So, I’ve gotten accustomed to NOT being ‘wowed’ when I demo the ‘newest’ toy on the market. However, after a few balls with a Regular Flex 10 degree Comp, I was amazed at it’s feel, balance, weight and performance. Normally, I don’t like Regular flex drivers, but for some reason, this one felt really solid and not too ‘whippy’ - unlike the gold Fujikura shaft that came out on the original Launcher.
Bottom line, for the money, this driver, the 460 Adam’s Redline RPM Titanium and the 410 & 460 Nike Ignite drivers represent the best values on the market for players with medium club head speeds - which describes probably 75% of all golfers.

Leaving Feedback as a Buyer or Seller

Professional Buying, Sales Reports, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Sports, my chicago, phone May 18th, 2008

First why write this? I had a customer treat me like a bully and I realized I was doing something others hated and didn’t realize it. I asked them to give me feedback and they asked me if I was happy that I got paid. Wow, I was being a feedback bully and I didn’t even realize it.
As a Seller:

Leave your positive as soon as you get paid. Your satisfaction over the transaction should only rely upon being paid, period. Everything else is reliant upon how you as the seller handle things such as the product, truthfulness in your statements, the packaging, shipping, and all your communications with your customer. For most buyers, as long as you deliver on your sale, they will be happy. Trust and you shale recieve.
As a Buyer:

Just be fair and leave a positive or nothing at all. If you had a somewhat bad experience and the product wasn’t what you wanted, or the shipping was late, or any of the other reasons why your experience could be bad, work with the seller. Most sellers will fix things. Even if the seller says As-Is they may still try to make things right.

If the problem is minor and the seller isn’t willing to remedy things it still may warrant a negative but at least give them a chance to prove the axiom “The Customer is always Right” not the axiom Caveat Emptor.
Final Thoughts:

I understand; if you get really crappy service, shipping, untruthful statements, leave a negative. Flame the buggers! That’s why the negative exists and it makes it easier for the rest of us to learn from your bad experiences.

Remember, as a seller or a buyer you can always have a second word on any feedback. You can even mutually remove feedback, so don’t hold back. As a seller, if you liked getting paid, say so. As a buyer. if you liked your purchase say so.
Don’t hold back and don’t blackmail for feedback. It makes you look like you are hiding something. It makes you appear untrustworthy.

FINDING TREASURE IN THE ‘OTHER’ CATAGORY

Industrial, Loans, Massager, my chicago, others May 18th, 2008

It is unreal just how many times I have found a great treasure or a fantastic bargain in the often bypassed catagory known as “other”.

Sometimes people simply do not know what final catagory to list their items in and I have ended up with a pretty nice Tonka for a great price because other ebayers may not think to look there.

So, no matter what you are looking for, take a little extra time to peruse this catagory. You just never know!

Dear CL:

It’s the end of August and I need an apartment for October 1. So far, you haven’t had much to offer. Please come through for me. I have been very good this year. I even gave you 5 stars on Yelp.

Dear Chicago.CL:

Thank you for helping me and my boyfriend find an affordable, ridiculously huge, Logan Square apartment with a sweet, nutty landlady. We move in one week from Monday, and we couldn’t be happier. Also, the renting of my old apartment was a snap, all thanks to you! Additionally, (as if I needed more) that great red-glass lamp (CL FREE) is going to go wonderfully in our new den.
Need a couch? Craigslist.

Need a dog? Craigslist.

Need a partner? Craigslist.

Need a place to live? Craigslist.

Need some free shit? Craigslist.

Need a life? Good luck!

And it’s not just for the Chicagoland Area. It’s worldwide. :)

Oh, the addictive website that is Craigslist…one may ask, what is Craigslist…..

Wikipedia defines Craig’s List as: ” a centralized network of on-line urban communities, featuring free classified advertisements (with jobs, internships, housing, personals, for sale/barter/wanted, services, community, gigs and resumes categories) and forums sorted by various topics.”

I define Craigslist as “That thing which gets you through the day when you’re at work and have nothing better to do”

If you are looking for cool and crazy classifieds, you’ve come to the right place.

You wanna get a better deal on tickets… Craigslist

You wanna rent a 2 BR apartment that takes dogs for $400….Craigslist

You wanna job that pays 50,000/year to lick envelopes…Craigslist

This free site is FABULOUS! I have used Craigslist for so many great things…what better place to share my love for Craigslist (chicago branch) than with fellow Yelpers…
